The Sign: Written to honor the plight of homeless veterans, often down on their luck and ignored by the country they so admirably served. The Sign is a music video dedicated to their service and a reminder that we all have an opportunity to thank them for their service, demonstrate compassion and honor them as fellow Americans.
Workin’ Man With a Family Plan: Workin’ Man is a tribute to my dad, Eilert Asleson. Nicknamed Ole for his Norwegian heritage, he was a hard working dairy farmer with a loving wife, Rita and 13 children. Each of the children is named in the song that tells the story of his life and the steadfast, unconditional love of our parents. Recorded on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary with an additional verse added at the time of Dad’s homecoming in heaven.
My Heart in Canada: Originally written for and performed at our wedding in 1982, My Heart in Canada is a tribute to my loving wife Elke that was recorded on the occasion of our 25th wedding anniversary in 2007. The song tells the story of our falling in love despite living in two different countries and was presented by surprise to Elke over the ship’s entertainment system during an anniversary cruise in Coure D’Alene, Idaho.
